Rebecca Hammond was born and raised in Towaoc, Colorado, and learned traditional Ute Mountain Ute beading techniques as a child from her grandmother. Hammond applies the intricacies of beading to the complex patterns found on Ancestral Puebloan pottery to create stunning, thoroughly modern, Ute Mountain Ute artwork.
